Community guidelines

Hellohood works because people are kind, real and show up. These rules apply in the app, in chats and at every meetup.

1. Be kind. No harassment, bullying, threats or hate — about anyone’s origin, religion, gender, sexuality, disability, age or looks.
2. Hellohood is not a dating app. No sexual messages, pressure or "hookup" plans. Flirting that makes someone uncomfortable is harassment.
3. Be real. Your own photos, name and age. No fake profiles or pretending to be someone else.
4. No drugs or illegal stuff. No plans or messages about buying, selling or using illegal drugs.
5. No selling or spam. Don’t use plans or chats to sell things, recruit for MLM, or push people into paid groups. Free community meetups — language exchanges, run clubs, cultural groups — are welcome, even if you organize them every week.
6. Show up or say so. If you can’t make it, tap "Can’t make it". Repeated no-shows lower your show-up rate.
7. Meet in public places. Plans must be in public or clearly described venues. No private-home plans with strangers.
8. 18+ only. No one under 18, and no plans aimed at minors.
9. Respect privacy. Don’t share other people’s photos, locations or chats without consent. No filming people at meetups without asking.
10. Keep it safe. No violence, weapons, dangerous challenges, or pressuring people to drink.

What happens if someone breaks the rules

Depending on how serious it is: a warning, content removed, a 24-hour or 7-day restriction, or a permanent ban. Threats, violence, sexual harassment, scams and anything involving minors lead to an immediate ban — and we involve the police when the law requires it.

Always a reason, always an appeal

If we act on your account, you’ll always see which rule and why. You can appeal every decision — a real person answers within 48 hours. Blocking someone for your own safety will never get you in trouble.
